Our History​
On July 16, 1980, Gulf Coast Baptist Church was started by Pastor M.H. Tabb with the goal of reaching the community and the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. For 40 years, Pastor Tabb faithfully preached and served his community, as well as authored many books and curriculums. He, accompanied by his wife Louise, retired from the pastorate on July 16, 2020. His literature is available at http://www.gcbi.org/bookstore.html​.

God has continued to bless the ministries of Gulf Coast Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Aaron Harris. Each week, we minister to others through Bible preaching and teaching, Sunday school classes, weekly outreach, and Christ-honoring music.  We would love for you and your family to join us this Sunday and witness what God is doing at Gulf Coast Baptist Church.

Our Pastor
Pastor Aaron Harris was raised in a christian home and trusted Christ as his savior at the age of 16.  After graduation from christian school, Pastor Harris began ministry training at Providence Baptist College, and graduated  in May of 2011.  While in bible college, he met his wife Jessi, and they were married in June of 2011.  

Pastor Harris has served the Lord full time as both a youth pastor and assistant pastor for 8 years before accepting the call to be the pastor of Gulf Coast Baptist Church in 2020.  Pastor and Mrs. Harris have been blessed with four children.

Gulf Coast Baptist Church is an independent, fundamental, Baptist church that preaches and teaches the King James Bible (AV1611), and seeks to honor God through our beliefs and actions.  For a full doctrinal statement, please click the link below.

Our Purpose

1 Peter 2:17 "Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the King."

Fear God

Our primary purpose is to fear God and glorify Him in all things
Ecc. 12:13 "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."

Love  Others

We promote and foster a spirit of love and unity in the church
John 13:35 "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."

Serve the World

We actively serve in local outreach, global missions, and internal ministry
1 Peter 4:9-10 " Use hospitality one to another without grudging.  As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."
